minimum 2 more years?

It finally happened! 16 hours at work  Came in at 7:45AM and didn't get in the cab until 12:10AM. With a 15 min break mid-morning and mid-afternoon and a 30 min lunch break, that's over 15 hours of intense, intense number crunching and reading. Plus with a 70 min AM commute and a sweet 40 min cab ride home, I am POOPED. Climbed into bed at 1AM, woke up every hour, and had to get up at 5:30AM.

Hmm, don't go into i-banking with a bulge-bracket bank if you don't love it. The perks may be nice...like paid dinner and free cab ride home when we work past 10PM, but it's literally eating my life and health away. Sometimes it's exciting digging through all kinds of annual reports and living in the footnotes, but in the long run...

I heart EBITDA ( Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, & Amortization)

Food Play

My 9 year old sister is soo creative. Yesterday night after brushing her teeth, she shared with me a hilarious play that she had made up. Here it is-

Grace goes to Fefe.

Grace: Queen Dairy, where is King Burger?

Fefe: King Burger and I are divorced. He isout dating some redheaded girl named Wendy.

Grace: Oh ok, bye.

Grace goes to Cece.

Grace: Your Majesty King Burger, I know you andQueen Dairy are divorced, but where does she live?

Cece: Queen Dairy is living in another palacewith her new date, some fresh guy named Superman Subway. I live in the oldpalace with Wendy, my new date.

Grace: Oh, I get it now.

Grace (saysto everyone): Can I eat all of you?

Everyone else: Aughhh!!!!!!!!(Runs away)

Hello

Yea, it's officially the 1st day of summer although I've been on break for like about 5 weeks already. Since graduation, summer has been fun with Focus Week, South Africa, and time spent at home.

South Africa was a pretty amazing country and not something I could have ever imagined. The scenery and mountains were breathtaking and we took many scenic drives as we made our way from Capetown up to Johannesburg- home of the 2010 World Cup. Some of our activities included zipgliding through trees, visiting Cape of Good Hope- the most southern tip of Africa, going to Robben Island and seeing Nelson Mandela's actual prison cell, riding an ostrich, going on 6AM game drives, taste testing endless glasses of wine, brandy...,  climbing through the Congo Caves, and learning more about the rich culture and the impact of apartheid.

Now, there's nothing too new with me, except for forever unpacking my boxes from MSU, prepping for the GMAT on July 6th, and enjoying time with my sister. We're going to Six Flags Great America next Monday and it's supposed to be 90 degrees!!

It's still taking awhile to settle into life at home and I apologize for not being on AIM or calling people as much. But hopefully once work starts, I'll have a nice routine going. In the meantime, have a great summer everyone!!

It took awhile to settle into a new life after MSU, but it was transitioned well with Focus Week and a weekend stay at the Cheng's house. Thanks for all the wonderful memories!

And then on Monday evening, it took forever to find the Megabus station at UM (actually, we never found it!) and by 5:20PM, I thought for sure that I had missed my 5PM return trip home. Having gone up and down the same street for a good 30+ minutes, we didn't know what else to do, but to fill up the car because the tank was way past empty. While Stuart was filling it up, I told my mom the unfortunate news, when all of a sudden, Stuart pointed at the Megabus stopped at a red light, getting ready to enter onto the freeway. I abruptly ended my call with my mom, ran through 4 lanes of traffic, and beat on the Megabus door like a crazy person. Hehe, long story short...the bus driver was very nice, let me on, and eventually, I made it home at 11PM. Thank God!

Some funny pictures from graduation; seems like forever ago. More pics on facebook. And, I'll do a better job of updating my posts with interesting info about me...hopefully

Hehe, who said I graudated with a BA in Finance? This was my 2nd home at MSU.

Got my fake diploma, now off to the Upper Peninsula!! Where's my ride?

Wow, April is just flying by and I haven't posted since April 3rd...life has been busy and I've been feeling very emotional lately. I'm sorry to everyone that I've hurt or confused...I'm such a complicated person, and when things are at its worst, I just want to retreat from everything.

And, another part of my life is coming to an end soon. Gymnastics I can't believe it's been that long...since I was 7 years old...and then I got so fed up with the sport between 8-10th grade, but it's all better now- breaks help so much.

Hehe, some short videos of my skills at the Jenison Fieldhouse. Please keep in mind that I'm like 5 years into retirement, and even though I've been TAing the tumbling classes, I only get like 30 min a week to practice my own skills. So don't be expecting perfect form and execution, but I think they'll be fun to post to share around for you curious ppl...oh how embarassing

Prep for double back on FX- supposed to land onto back, yea for soft mats
